ABOUT MISS PAM

Miss Pam and her daughter

As the child of a music teacher, I grew up in a very musical household.  I learned to play the piano, cello and flute and sang in several youth choirs when I was a child.  And since my mom was the music director for a regional theater company in our area, I was on a stage before I could talk.  But to be completely honest, my fondest musical memories are of singing with my mom in the car on the way to rehearsals.  We would harmonize and sing rounds together and it was always playful and fun.  I can only hope my daughter loves singing with me as much as I loved singing with my mom!

My musical education became more formal - but still pretty fun - in college at NYU.  I received a bachelor of music with a specialization in vocal performance and quickly made my way out to sunny California.  I've been teaching at a studio in Beverly Hills and privately in homes for the last 12 years.  It has truly been such an honor and joy to be a part of the musical development of hundreds of kids and - dare I say - grown-ups over the years.  After all, we never stop learning right?

My family and I moved to El Segundo in June of 2022 and I am SO thankful our path has led us here.  This is the kind of community I want my daughter to experience and be a part of.  The kind of town I want her to grown up in.  We feel so lucky to be here.  And while I will continue teaching in my old neighborhood, I also want to bring some music to our new friends in El Segundo.  And so Smoky Hollow Music was born!  I am so excited to meet and sing with some new families and become an active part of this very, very special community.
